SSSHH....IT'S THE WIND

One day after the boys put up 8 against Houston, they lose a 1-0 game to the Cubbies in a game played inside a freezer. This marked about the 27th extra inning competition the team has played so far this season.

Still a decent game to watch because considering the pretty phenomenal pitching by Tim and Big Z, as well as that after nine innings the game had only run for about 2 hours. If this was Sox v. Yankees it would only have had been the top of the 5th after two hours and I would've had to take a second nap.

Anyway Dino missed the cut of man in the bottom of the 10th on a Tyler Colvin's double down the right field line and the Cubs plated a man for the walk off win. Personally, I blame the Cubs announcers for the bush-league use of reverse karma against Chad Qualls.

All in all I was glad to see Stauffer match Zambrano's dominance, and win or lose to get the boys off the field and back in the hotel before another game under supposedly worse conditions tomorrow.
