Assuming that our pitching is still the stinky shit, as it absolutely has been, all we need is our batters (Ludwick) to come through ONCE a game with runners in scoring position, an occasional jack with maybe a sack fly or small ball runs here and there and we will WIN ALL THE TIME. EVERY GAME.

The Padres are first in the bigs in quality starts (9 qs out of 15 games) and absolutely dead last in slugging percentage in the majors. On the positive side, it's a joy to watch our starters come to the ballpark and do work game in and game out. They are pitching out of jams and staying away from giving up the big innings. We're still not getting any close calls on the base pads but anyway.
