We have a new blog here at Jerry's Kids, but due to extensive valet networking with opposing teams at their hotels we are already getting exclusive interviews with players and managers from around the majors.
We were able to reach the incoming San Francisco Giants who come into town for a brief two game trip for the Pad's long awaited 2011 home opener. Here are some brief quotes about their thoughts on the upcoming series, or the players' personal mantras in general:
Matt Cain says, "It's turning into one of the great rivalries in the NL. I think this series, as well as the whole year, will be a tough battle for both teams."
Bruce Bochy says, "Great as always to be back in San Diego, the narrow streets in San Francisco make it hard for me to navigate the ol' juggernaut of a head I've got up here."
Tim Lincecum says, "Jerry's Kids is my new favorite baseball blog to check out. Especially when I run out of rolling papers and the night terrors start kicking in."
Jonathan Sanchez says, "I hate when babies look me in the eye. It makes me want to kidney punch those little bastards until I get a nosebleed from the excitement."
In other news I'm psyched for the home opener at Petco!! Not Psyched as in I'll be there, but psyched none the less. Pads have Aaron "The Harrang-a-tang" going against some generally SFy d-bag. The Giants might mave momentum? because they scored 10 in their last game, but lost the previous two to the hated Doyers in LA. Either way our boys should be pumped to be in front of the home crowd and hopefully will get the W. If you are going save me a seat and order some nachos.
GO PADS
